Finding Books 

The Library at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital holds a wide range of books that are relevant for courses being undertaken in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Print books and electronic books (ebooks) can be located using the library catalogue on the library homepage.

Print books 

Most of the relevant print books can be found on the shelves of the Library in aisles 1, 2, and 4. Books can be transferred between HSE Health Library Ireland libraries, so if you would like to request a book from one location to be collected in another HSE Library, please email library.olol@hsel.ie or ask staff at the library desk or library office. Ebooks 

The library also has many e-books, which can be accessed remotely, for example, at home via Library Search. Just use the link in the record to connect to the full text. More information on e-books can be found on the following page: Ebooks 

Recommending a Book 

Reading list books   

The library makes every effort to hold the key texts that are on reading lists for your modules.

If there are books on your module reading list that you cannot find in the library catalogue, please let me know by sending me an email library.olol@hse.ie.

Books not on reading lists   

The library also considers suggestions for purchasing books that are not on module reading lists. If you would like to recommend a book for the library collection, please let us know by filling out the book form or email library.olol@hse.ie
